It is a Catholic charity/fraternal organization, and I have no idea of where you got the idea that it isn't. They have their own insurance for members, as well as scholarships for the children of members. The Knights also do charity work to benefit groups like homes for retired nuns and priests, and they're usually active in Pro-life campaigns.

They do have private ceremonies to induct new members and install officers. But they're not out somewhere sacrificing Tupperware Pickle Keepers and Moon Pies to Satan.

The Kof C is a mens' organization in the Catholic church. Like the Elks and Masons they do charitable work, fundraising etc. They are not dirverse in choosing who they will help as the Elks or Masons or any of the mens groups that are from another age. They tend to be very conservative in their religious beliefs and politics. At one time I was a member and soon found out what they are about.

What makes you think the "KOC" are doing secret things. From what I hear they are like a Catholic "Elks" club.
