Of course we get insecure. Who doesn't?

Geting a man to admit to their feelings is a whole other question. It depends on how close you are to him, really. And he'll be much more likely to show some emotion to a woman than another guy.

I wouldn't say it's an ego thing necessarily, though. It's more a guy thing. You know, we're raised to be tough, not cry, and keep going no matter what. Our thing is like 'just do it'. Which makes it hard for us to get along with women, who seem to be more about connecting to other people and sharing wwhat they're going through.

I think men and women both have alot to learn from each other and it helps to keep that in mind. (Which I don't do enough, to be honest)

Of course not all men have high self esteem...blanket statements are rarely accurate...I've known plenty of insecure guys...some of the ones that seem a little cocky/egotistical are actually hiding their insecurity with bravado...

Guys tend to worry about things less than women, therefore insecurity isn't generally as big an issue for them as for females...but yeah, they definitely can be affected by it...why wouldn't they be? They worry about their appearance, desirability, careers, etc...there are many things that can contribute to someone being insecure or having low self esteem...

It is an ego thing. I was very insecure for awhile, because I would always be honest when going out on a date and would never hear from them after one date. But I found my true love and I have never been so secure in myself until now.

It is incorrect to say that all men have high self-esteem just as it is incorrect to say that of all women. They claim to be secure all the time becaue it "isn't manly" to admit otherwise. I'm not saying that they're all liars -- some of them do indeed have loads of confidence -- but some are just doing a great job of pretending.

The ones who think they have to show confidence all the time must be under a lot of pressure to maintain that facade, and worry, "What if people find out that I'm worried?"

Women can definitely make or break a guy so that he feels secure or insecure. I mean, come on...a woman (to me) is what completes a man.

Before I got engaged, I felt more insecure because I didn't know if there was anyone that would ever love me. All I hear from my fiancee is sweet loving words and it has brought up my self esteem a lot because I know she loves me and thinks about me all the time.

That's my humble opinion.

No, at least 80% of us guys have insecurities of some sort, I worry alot about my size. Its easy to spot when guys are feeling ashamed of themselves in some way. Things like lack of eye contact, tense posture and avioding people in general are dead giveaways. But alot of guys can put up a good front as well, but with them you normally get that uneasy vibe. You just have to learn to tell the signs.

Everyone is insecure about something. It's just some guys hide it better than others. It's how you handle it that makes the difference

well we try and have high self esteem to be cool or liked. But we do have things we feel insecure about ourselves. Like how tall we are, what are hair looks like, if people like us, if where hot/cute or something, skinny/fat, muscular/scrawny, etc.

Women are the biggest cause of insecurity, and the biggest cause of lying about it.

of course we can have insecurities. we are still human. we have alot of the same insecurities as women. of course it seems that women let their insecurities cause them mental/pscycological anguish.
