I mean...When I was in nursery school we used to sing that old song that goes..."What do we do with a drunken sailor......" And the Hamburger Helper commercials were geared toward the "Lady of the House"....
Now everyone has to be careful not to offend anyone. Which is good, I guess, but life just seems so bland. You can't even light a cigarette in a freaking bar anymore....

Yes!
I agree that P.C. is garbage..
sorry but a cripple is a cripple...and some one who's deaf..is deaf!
the more you butter up the words...the more it desensitizes the affliction...such as....I don't have to help that HANDICAPABLE man across the street he can do it himself...as opposed to...gee that poor CRIPPLED guy looks like he needs a hand i'll go help him.
as for smoking in bars...those laws were passed by snots who would never even walk into my neiborhood bar..the only reason why it passed is because we sat on our butts when it came time to vote because we never thought it would actually pass....

I must admit that there are parts of that world which I miss. The true racial bias was not good...I remember going to the fair in Oklahoma City back in 1957 and seeing restrooms and water fountains marked "Whites Only". Every time I hear Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton moaning and playing the race card, I wish I had a picture of those signs so they could see how bad it used to be. Political correctness has been taken a little too far.

I AGREE...Everyone is soooooo freaking worried about offending the other guy... well, personally that offends me (who cares about that right? RIGHT) No one really cares about "individual rights of others" only the rights a particular GROUP of individuals has enough lobbiests in congress to stir up a stink about.... For the love of PETE (who's Pete LOL) Everyone needs to worry more about themselves then others and you know what, if u don't like what someone else is doing or saying IGNORE THEM!!! That's what I had to do being a kid from the last great decade THE 80's!!!!!!!!!

you're so proper! As a instructor, i replaced into taught in college that I had to stability each praise I gave to a male make certain with equivalent praise to a woman human being. this can typically be envisioned to be observed with the help of gushing praise as to how this female replaced into an more desirable inspirational personality who did properly both in spite of her being female, or (and it is more desirable difficulty-loose) because of how she succeded in a guy's international, with the consistent implication that adult men tried too shop her down. seem heavily, and also you'll discover many esteemed female figures are esteemed with the help of devaluing adult men. This does no credit to the accomplishments of the female, and denigrates the adult men too. sturdy question, and that i evaluate the shortcoming of encouragement of adult men and boys to be a societal situation, highly even as study exhibits that girlss get carry of typically more desirable than two times the effective confirmation in young children than boys.

Screw them if they can't take a joke. That political correct nonsese doens't fly, where I live. We still think and say what we want, not what someone else wants us to think or say. Political Correct speech (Newspeak) is thought control and is un-American.

I totally get your point. Yes, everybody is sooo sensitive now. i would be OK with PC-ness if it was sincere, but it's not, it makes people even more incorrect in their actions to compensate what they can say in words
