I've found there are two types of ignorance. One is an inexperienced, uneducated person whom I'd never call ignorant because it's cruel. The other is just someone who disagrees with you. So since we have to agree to disagree sometimes, the over use of the word ignorant is usually a sign of the same.

No ignorant people are ignorant to the fact that they are ignorant but to the un ignorant people in the world the ignorant look pretty ignorantt, Basically they are to stupid to realize it

I am ignorant on many subjects. I know it.
My IQ is in the 140 range and I know more stuff that about 99% of the people I know, but I'm still more ignorant than knowledgeable.

Isn't it ignorant to call people that you don't personally know ignorant? I have been called ignorant a lot and I am certain that I am smarter than most people including you.

Sometimes. I acknowledge that I'm ignorant about many things. Uninformed is a nicer and more hopeful word than ignorant, and it's the one I prefer in polite discussion..

Generally not. If they knew they were ignorant it seems they would try to get out of that state.
