It depends on which area of expertise you will practice and what part of the country you will be working. My friend started at $40k

That would depend on what type of Vet, if you are disabled it goes by percentage rate. But if you just did 3 or 4 years and got out you don't get any money for that. Only retirement, and service connected disability will you receive money.

Depends on where you practice. A vet specializing in livestock (and living in rural areas) doesn't make as much as the suburban cat/dog vet. Vets for horse racing can make as much as any doctor.

The tricky part is getting into vet school. I've heard it's harder than getting into medical school.
