How can you even justify having a hard working person pay more in taxes than someone who chooses not to work hard and get an education?
I do not think I should pay more because we WORK harder and chose to get an education.

The INJUSTICE is rising tax RATES for workers. I am all for a flat tax. I will pay MY FAIR SHARE. Some people pay 15% of their income while I pay 39% plus.

As far as paying income taxes, I don’t see a difference between those without an education and work hard from those that have an education and work hard, they both pay income taxes based on their annual income. The individuals that earn more income pay more taxes. It does not matter if you have an education or not, (generally those with better education make a higher income & therefore pay more taxes).

Where there is an injustice is where individuals own a Company or Corporation. They can buy cars, get vacations, etc and have their company / corporation pay for it. As a result they can purchase cars, vacations etc with pre taxed dollars from their corporations. As a result they can squeeze assets and benefits from their company / corporation (which is the same as income) and not pay taxes on these benfits.

The reasons for this injustice is because those in power are generally those who own corporations & companies and have more control in government and are able to get laws that benefit those in the higher incomes.

When someone makes more money, it doesn't mean that they work harder, it means that they have a different type of job that is worth more to the economy. It makes sense to tax people more if they make more because the cost of living is relatively fixed in our country. We all pay the same cost for gas, utilities, etc. Everything over and above the cost of living is a luxury, and is why people want to make more money.

A tax rate of 30% for someone making $20,000 per year is going to hurt a lot, but for someone making $80,000 per year, it's not going to hurt as much, so the tax system is progressive.

We all contribute in one way or another. We all use services, these must be paid for. No system is perfect (and some very rich people find a way to pay nothing in taxes) but it is a lot better than what some third world countries have.

True, our tax policies are terrible. Too many loopholes for the high income people. That being said, it is SUPPOSED to be the same PERCENTAGE of a given income. The person that earns more would naturally pay more taxes as a given percent of 30,000 dollars is less than the same percentage of 100,000 dollars.

Those who can contribute more to society should do so. It's simply common human decency.
