That's a very subjective question. It all depends on what your intent is. Historically, Macs have been primarily used by artists and for publishing, as they have had the very best graphic design applications and most adaptive monitors. Today, however, I would say the field is pretty much level. On a consumer and a semi-professional level, I would say it entirely depends on what you are used to, what your preference is. At a professional level and higher, I would say it is industly specific and then the choices are no longer just Mac or Windows. I know some big publishers still use macs to do their publishing from start to finish. However, newer publishers aren't "tied" to a given technology, so they may move in either direction, or to an industry specific solution.

Apples are great in performance but theres a lot problem with software support. On the other side you can get gr8 performance with x64 processors. Btw dont use Windows-based PC cause you can use x84 and x64 processor based PC without Windows OS

before buying a mac find out about all the things on the net that macs can't do. for instance yahoo pagebuilder only supports pcs
