Well the main reason I haven't developed an opinion about that is because I've seen many educated and very intelligent people driving a taxi in my country(that happens to be yours as well).
But I have seen people that haven't got much education,or much book intelligence but they succeeded in life, and probably make more money that you and me could ever imagine.
And when you see it, they have children that are extremely talented, why?because they had the chance to develop their selves while their parents work their *** of.
And there always are children that both of their parents have high education, but they are just lazy and don't work.
Everyone has potential, you just have to work.
As far as Intelligent people who work the job of their dreams that requires their education, and get a lot of money for it, I do think that they find money stimulating enough , so they just don't need kids....

I agree with the first part of your statement in that most people who're intellectual & studious don't have kids/ start a family earlier as compared to those who leave school too soon.
Reason being that they are probably too busy building a career for themselves & making sure they achieve their financial goals.
Their priorities shift, work comes first, emotional needs second/ none at all.
On your second statement, I don't necessarily think that the fear their kids would be dumb is a worry in the very least, lol!
I mean, there're geniuses born into impoverished families & they get by just fine... thank you very much=P
Mostly, I feel it's the individual, "... different folks, different strokes ..." There're some well-educated group of people who choose to start a family first.

The truth of what you're talking about has to do with more educated people waiting until they're older to have kids because they're pursuing their education first. But there isn't truth to the idea that the next and subsequent generations will be less intelligent because plenty of very intelligent people are having children. They tend to have less children, though, because they are not prejudiced towards birth control for religious reasons.

I think you are saying that intelligent, well-educated people don't marry young and sometimes not at all, don't have kids because they don't earn enough to educate them. Education will develop the child's intelligence to it's potential. If they cannot afford to educate the child properly, then perhaps they are right not have kids they cannot afford.
P.S. Thank you for speaking our language.

I know people like that. Well educated, high culture level and eventually good jobs. They get merried later in life because they"invest" their time in getting a good career and then once they get setled with a good job, start thinking about marriage and babies. By then, they're too comfortable to bother with napies and sleepless nights. After all, is this life so good that you want to bring more people in this rotten world? What for? To have someone to look after you when you get old?

Intelligence does not necessarily mean that the off spring will also be intelligent. The two factors are raised in different environment and situation. so the effects of the child will not be the same as the adult, but the child will learn from the adult what so ever he or she teaches them and if they are willing to accept it.

I don't agree with the statement. There probably are some highly intelligent people who don't have kids, but there are some that do.
