I'm really bad with history. Right now we're covering early American history which is really boring. I'm in eigth grade.

I was awful at studying when I was in schoo. Especially History, as I found it boring. One thing that really worked for me was reading the text out loud to myself. I absorbed it better and it helped me stay focused. If I read it in my head, I would always drift off into a daydream. Studying with friends is helpful as well.

It may be boing but wake up, go outside more often, and notice how what happened in the past is crucial of whats happing now. And if you don't i swear no sleep at all for you. Then go to the library and check it over. Its bearable live with it and ask for a different teacher.

Study with someone else.
Study with someone who doesn't pick it up as fast as you, then you have to explain things to them, which imprints it more on your brain.
Study with someone who picks it up faster, so they can explain it.
Understand how your teacher tests, and what they look for. Do they ask more questions from notes or the book?
Read it out loud.
Pick a certain time everyday and just sit down and study.
Reward yourself for studing (I just studied half an hour, now I can answer 5 yahoo questions)

Good Luck
