If it weren't, so many potential grad students would not study-study-studdy for it! (Exceptional grad programs can be selective based on your test scores.)
I suggest you find software to study in lieu of books. With software you can drill, just as you would with flashcards, but alot faster and more conveniently. Even if you were a perfect student, there are things you may have overlooked to begin with, or forgotten over time. Besides, some programs emphasize particular items of study, while others are omitted. Software can help you bridge that gap. (No, I am not a software salesman. I have taken certification exams for my career and it is very similar.) There are various websites where you can get this kind of software. I'm not recommending it because I have not used them previously, but http://www.studentmarket.com/gmatsoftware.html is one of these websites selling test preparation software. Another thing you could do is post another question asking people what software they used to prepare for the GMAT.
I would spend time every single day getting ready.

Don't study too much that your mind can't pick up anymore. Just remember key details and concepts of any topic. Take break/ quick nap in between the study to get your energy back and clear you mind. Get atleast eight hours of sleep, and remember to eat a great breakfast.
Good luck.

Prepare yourself by studying and get a good sleep the night before. Being nervous is counter-productive. Relax and depend upon your good judgement and preparation. I wish you luck!
