I thought about this before, and i feel he was so new to the presidency at the time it must have been a nightmare. I dislike bush for his quick retaliation and war but i do beleive he loves his country and he fuelled his anger quickly and some would say stupidly, of course his tears were real but probably mostly do do with the fact that he was responsible for those people and he was overwhelmed, I dont like the way tony blair jumps at his every beck and call i blame him more, what did he do for northern ireland (where im from) he chooses to side with the big boys, doesnt do enough for his own people

you people are too cruel. You may not like Bush but to accuse him of tears of joy, tears that his friends will make a lot of money, etc. is pure bull*hit. The man was stunned by this atrocity as were we all. The plans for blowing up the Trade buildings were made ten years ago and developed in time. The failing of the CIA and FBI caused 9/11 not Bush. When will you idiots stop picking on the guy and move on to better pickings? Why not pick on each other?

The president made a good call by not abruptly leaving the classroom. He maintained the professional composure a president should maintain.

They were tears of sorrow. People are writing Bush out to be worse then he really is. Everyone makes mistakes.

Tears of sorrow, the man is human. Why would he have guilt he is not the one who caused it. That would be Clinton who was warned about it and would have had Bin Lad den from the Saudis but refused him.

Guilt i should think, considering the amount of money trading between the Bin Laden family and Bush. Also the lengths he went to protect the above. Hes more concerned about his Saudi investment

In all honesty, I suspect they were just expected. He seems rather callous, spoilt and out of touch to be capable of genuine remorse. For heavens sake, though, let's just drop this conspiracy theory. Wasn't 9/11 bad enough without implicating the US government?

I believe they were tears of pain. It is a little know fact, but at the time, Mr bush was suffering from a rather uncomfortably bout of haemorrhoid's.

Tears of sorrow...it is beyond me how anyone could think they could have avoided this devastation and not done something about it. Get real.
