No. You had the first part right. When you had 1x = -27, you are basically done the problem. You can divide the 1x by 1 and the -27 by one, but you will have the same answer. x = -27. 1x is the SAME as X by itself. :)

your answer is wrong
go back a step and erase the one and you have you answer.
you can double check your self in the future by putting the number you find back into the equation and see if it fits.
