Before I continue, know that I'm not joking, trying to offend, or sound racist/bias etc,,just looking for an honest answer

I'm white, and by the way i was raised, I never cared about ethnicity/race/color etc, a person was just a person no matter what, I dont like/dislike them for those types of things...

but lately Ive found I favor blacks over the other races, it's gotten to the point i practically idolize them, when i'm around a black person I get happy and energetic, and want nothing more than to socialize with them, i've grown obsessed

I'm married to a black person, but that's not the reason i got married to him, i never even thought much about his color, but now i think if i had to do it over again, i could only marry someone who is black.

but at the same time, i dont dislike others because of their race, i still like everyone regardless

is this wrong? am i the only one? am i offending anyone? is there a Term for this feeling? I don't mean any harm, its just the way i feel

It's not back to admire black people. Remeber though that race doesn't make the person. Try see everyone as equal, no matter if the race. However, if you find yourself drawn to a particular group, that's fine!! I never really thought about it much until recently. Now I am in love with a black guy and have made some awesome black friends who I get along so great with.

I am completely indifferent to whatever you decide. However, my feeling generally towards black ppl is just the opposite. With the exception of a few, they tend to be rude, stupidly aggressive, under educated, fingerpointing whiners, with no strong sense of social or spiritual upbringing. Not that there aren't a lot who are religous, but they are the only major cultural group in this country that have a nearly 10% deaconship in the male category, the norm is less than 1% in Laymen for a church. I have, through experience also found these titles to be repetively boring scams for both getting women out of their pants or money out of peoples pockets. Additionally, I have found the women to be undateable. Though many are beautiful and intelligent their temperment in general doesn't lend itself to enjoying a nice evening out should something change their mood in the middle of a nice dinner, where a normal dinner with a white/asian/arabic woman may decline in ones favor of a fun ending on the coach/bed, I have found black/hispanic women to decide that it needs to be a completely public affair that is embarrassing for not only the male, but the female who can't appreciate the expense one has put out for her to be shown off for an evening. On top of that the rapidly growing AIDS rate in black America is the shame of the culture. According to the numbers from the Atlantic-Journal Review 30-70% (basically 50%) of black males in this country are on the "Down Low", for the uneducated that means they have sex with guys while denying their gay impulses. The infection is spreading so rapidly in that society and the lies of the "playas" trying to get some sex from Denise and Dennis has put the very future of Black America in jeopardy. Does this mean all black people are the same? Absolutely not, the few black friends I have see the same things I do in the general gene pool of Black America. Do my beliefs mean I am a racist? You probably think so. I call it common sense based on the ability to read, observe, challenge, ask, and participate.

So my question is why should I idolize black people? Because they were enslaved? They enslaved themselves before they were bought by whites and since every race at one time or another has been enslaved or been the oppressor, I feel nothing special about it. Should it be their abilities in the arts? Sure, but I also Idolize Salvador Dali, Van Gough, Seiko, and Frank Sinatra. Should I idolize their suppossed energy the way you do? Sure if it is having a positive effect on society, but not the negative. But I should feel that way about everybody. Are you wrong as you have asked? That is not for me to decide, because your happiness is based on different values than mine. Do I support your decision? Socially I do, because I believe in America and her ideals, personally I am against it, because of one thing. If God wanted us all to be the same hair, skin, eye, shape, color, etc. He would have made us that way. I support diversity to a degree, but a complete integration I do not.

OH MY GOSH!!! I came on here because I was bored... and honestly... no lie. I am the exact same way. I don't idolize them... but I get really excited and happy to talk to one. I don't know what it is. Wow... That is so strange. I thought I was the only one out there who was like that... I'm still in shock... And you're right... you don't like other races any less... there's just something about black people.. and all my life i've been attracted to black guys. I have no clue why... I just have. this is amazing. hahaha.... sorry... this is just too strange.

I could've sworn I heard a term for this somewhere...anyways, no, there is nothing wrong, nor odd, with a white(or any race) person to "idolize" black people, or any other race. As long as you don't have negative feelings for your race or others because of how they treated african americans, you have no problem o_o.

There are gobs of white people I have admired and respected. I dont idolize anybody except my close family (well, maybe my new car). Black Americans are no more racist than anybody else, I would imagine. But a lot of us are

Everyone one has the capabilty for greatness and the fact you can see that in African-Americans, is a tribute to what a wonderful person you are. The world needs more people like you.

You probably shouldn't Idoloze anyone or any group but it doesn;t sound like a huge problem. You have a non-sexual fetish for blacks. I wouldn't worry about it
