Hi I have two questions.....
What do the people in Maine do for fun? And what do they do for careers? Both of these need to involve the nature around it. (eg. in Florida, swimming is used for leisure, and this involves the land)

They have jobs just like everybody else. My family in Maine likes to go fishing and swimming during the summer. They also go to the movies and shopping, it´s not that isolated.

They Ski, hunt, camp, canoe, fish...Maine is popular for outdoor sports. And closer to the coast its ocean fishing (lobsters, Cod), and a bit more tourist places.

Look at Appalachian Trail as well as LL Bean. That'll give you ideas as to what people do for fun as well as employment. Now go do your homework!
