There really isn't an age limit. Just go to the people that do the volunteering and they will tell you more. I used to work at petsmart and there was a girl volunteering and she was i think 8 at the time.

You have to contact the rescue group(s) that use the adoption center at PetSmart. Ages and opportunities vary depending on the rescue group. Some will allow minors to volunteer as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
I volunteered with one of the rescue groups and minors would help with the cage cleaning, laundry and fostering.

I don't know if you can volunteer at Petsmart, but a local shelter would probably be glad to have you!
