for some reason when i go into the internet properties to change my hoomepage the homepage address bar is grey it wont let me change the homepage ive learnt that u can go into the reg folder and do it form there but cud anybody please help me change the homepage from the internet proprties option becuz i cant be bothered to keep going all the way to the reg folder just to keep changing my homepage lol thanx for your time

It is possible you are signed in as a class lower than administrator (anything lower than Win. XP). If not, it is possible you have a virus or spyware on your computer.

First of all, the bar shouldn't be gray by no means.

I recommend you run a spyware check and make sure there aren't other malware programs affecting your computer.

You can change the key called Start Page to the webpage you desire.

get the spyware blaster it prevents the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software.
Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.

Well basicly just go to your Folder with Internet properties in it and type in the new homepage you want. You Probubly won't find homepage imediatly but its in there somewhere.

you might ahve hijack software on you computer locking your home page, try micrsoft windows defender, its free from microsofts home page. there are other adware programs out there too, but be carefull, only a few actually do what you want them to. Yahoo toolbar has antispy utility too.
