She multiplys her number by 8, adds 10, and then divides by 5. Result is 26

Do the reverse of the problem:

She divides by 5. Result is 26.
Reverse: 26 x 5 = 130

She takes that then adds 10.
Reverse: 130 - 10 = 120

She multplies her number by 8.
Reverse: 120 / 8 = 15

Your answer is 15.

You need to do the operations in reverse order and operation.
The second last result was divided by 5 so you want to multiply 26 by 5. Then take this and do the next reverse operation. Do your own homework.

use x for becki's number

write out the equation:
(8x+10)/5 = 26

Solve:
8x + 10 = 130
8x = 120
