To make the right decisions about anything that you know will be life altering. Those are tough because sometimes there may not be a really right , or wrong choice. You have to think hard about what is right or wrong for you.

Well, unfortunately there are a lot of hard decisions in life. I'm sure right at the top has to do with life support-having to decide to take a loved one off it, or will there be a miracle and that person will wake up and get better. Another one would be having to put an elderly parent in a home. I work with the elderly, and I see this often. It's a tough decision to make, especially since so many nursing homes are awfull.

To knowingly do the wrong thing for the right reason, because it is the right thing to do for the long run, that is probably the hardest decision a person has to make in life.

In most cases simply making the decision itself! Decisions determine your personal reality ... as has been written: "one is only real at the point of decision."

Whether to watch your mother as she exists in a persistent vegetative state, a deep coma, knowing she will never recover and probably never wake up and would definitely be profoundly brain damaged if she did, or to take her off the ventilator that is helping her body to take in air because her brain can no longer perform that function for her, and allow her to eventually die from the congestive heart failure that will absolutely occur as the heart receives less and less oxygen. Your mother was once vital and alive and did not wish to live this way, as she had made clear to many family members in conversation, but had never put in writing. But allowing her to stay on a ventilator makes it at least possible for you to brush her hair, hold her hand, love her, talk to her and sing to her.

One of the hardest decisions most people have to make is what they really want to be when they grow up.
I'm 63, and I'm still working on that one.

i think when your hearts involved and when youre considering others' feelings, its tough to make decisions. im talking about things like say your parents get divorced and you have to choose whether you live with your mom or dad even though you love both of them. those are some of the hardest decisions to make, i think. or how about to let someone you love go? that sucks.

Deciding who will make the best spouse based on their character, morals, values, commitment, maturity, anf future goals. Most people just go for whoever they think they "love" at that moment and never consider the bigger, deeper issues. That explains the 50% divorce rate.
50% of the people make pretty lousy choices.

To stop playing a sport forever after having surgery. I still want to play but do not want to run the risk of being disabled.

while getting married . whether it is love marriage or an arranged marriage , i feel that is the greatest risk a man or a woman takes. because in countries like india , it is life long commitment. rarely the married couple will think of divorcing each other. even other wise a deep scar it leaves in your heart if your marriage does not work out.
