The Steelers have won five Super Bowls: 1975, 1976, 1979, 1980, and 2006.
They lost to the Dallas Cowboys in 1996.

The real answer is actually " 6 " !!! We got five trophies, but we were absolutely screwed out of the sixth trophy against Dallas ten years ago in the Super Bowl where the refs gave the Cowboys two touchdowns they didn't even get! Then of course there was O'donnel getting paid to throw two interceptions right to the same Cowboy defensive back! Dallas bought that game because they know there is no way they could " EVER " beat the Steelers straight up !!!!!!!!!
