So I go into work to talk to my boss, and this other guy who is usually friendly to me is talking to two women on the side of him. When I walk up to my boss, the other guy purposely walks to a different direction and turns his back to me, refusing to make eye contact with me. Can you think of any reason why he would do this? I consider him a friend, but him refusing to look at him makes me feel like he is mad at me. I haven't done anything to this guy, so I wonder why he would do this. Opinions?

He was probably hitting on the women, and didn't want you to interupt.

Why don't you ask him? If he is your friend, why don't you catch him at the coffee machine or something, and just casually talk with him and see if there is something bothering him? He may just be having a bad day. There could be a million different things...but you'll never know until you ask.

Work politics can be sooo sensitive. He is obviously disturbed for some reason. Just ask him what is wrong if he is your friend he will tell you the truth and not quibble to make you feel bad.
