Find a tutor, like Slyvan Academy: http://reportcard.sylvan.info/campaigns/slc/161/slc_161.asp?campaign=161&clickID=SC1610533&theme=5

There are other tutor's available. You can't drop the class, not if you want to go to college. A High School A.P. class is closer to, by not quite as hard, as a typical college course (a High School AP class is closer to a Junior College Class). High School is designed to give the widest group of people a basic understanding. College is designed to train a few people for the professional world. Students are required to graduate, so the standards, the classes, and the homework are much easier. College is a competition for the best students; they expect a percentage of their students to fail. Their standards are much harder. The difference is as if High School were a part time job at a fast food joint while college is more like a full time job at a major, and fiercely competitive company, say an Ad Firm or IBM. If you don’t do well at Burger King then you can move on to McDonalds. If you don’t do well in college than you can give up on your dreams of a career and get a job at McDonalds, but not as manager. Even managers at McDonalds have to attend Hamburger University, a trade school for McDonalds. The only jobs you can get with a High School are the simple ones like sales or fast food, or join the Military.

I had trouble in college level physics. A tutor made the difference between an “A” and a “C.” I took AP Trigonometry in High School and made only a “D”, but the foundation helped me so that in college level Trigonometry I got a “B.”

I had a lot of trouble with word problems in Junior High and I needed help. My father was an engineer for Boeing (yes, he was a rocket scientist) and he helped me, but he had to pound it into me and we both had a very hard time with it. (However, every problem in the real world is a word problem.) Tutors are easier to get along with and the company that hires them makes sure that they can teach.

I'm in a pre ap lit class and it is kind rough but i just try not to worry about it too much. I try to treat it like a normal class.
