may he rest in peace

I saw who I thought was the producer of Steve's shows talk about the video and he was very adamant that he never ever wanted to watch the "3-5 seconds of video" again. I feel pretty sure that as the producer he has the "rights" to the video and will not release it to the public.

I think the only way it might be released is if Terri wanted to show it and perhaps even sell it to support conservation efforts or something to that effect.

I do not want the video released but feel that I need to see it if it is available to get closure. I just want to see if he was in pain. I hope not. I've seen him bitten numerous times by snakes and even croc's without even flinching....I hope he went peacefully.

The Video has not been released and plans are at this time NOT to release it.
Though I am sure some unscrupulous person with access to it will post it to the internet soon.

In the Meantime. Has anyone given thought to the subject of "Life imitating Art"?
It seems very Ironic to me that Steve died in this way, when he made a FEDEX commercial of him dying by poison.
Go to Google video and type "Steve Irwin Fedex" as keywords to find the video

The only people that have seen it up to this point are the producers of the show, because the coroners office wanted them to verify that it was the tape and the coroners office themselves. The tape is being held as evidence.

The discovery network says they will try and have the tape destroyed against Irwin's request that if his death was ever filmed he would want it viewed by the public.

We will have to see what happens...

No, It's not realeased to the public, and I don't think it's something that needs to be released. Also, he wasn't bit by a stingray.

It's not being released to the public. The police are the only ones with the video, unless the cameraman made copies. I hope it's never shown. I wouldn't want to see that.

No and I hope it will never become public. What gives people the right to feel what they want stands over what his family/friends want. Im disgusted that this is like some sort of attraction. People need to just let him rest in peace.

Give it time. It will hit the internet soon. On the news today they said that as soon as they get the tape back from the videographer, they are going to destroy it. Which I am sure that he probably already made copies of it.
