Okay i might be pregnant but dont know yet. My question is this. exactly where is your cervix and how can you check it your self. what does it feel like when preggers. when they say high or low in where it is what does that mean. i have had 2 children but never checked my own cervix.

Your cervix is the entrance to your uterus. Imagine your uterus is an upside down pear, the cervix is the top of the pear. Or it is the part that you can feel in your vagina. It looks like a donut with a dimple in the center. When you are fertile the dimple is more open and the cervix is higher up in your vagina. The cervix also feels softer, like your tongue. When you are infertile the dimple is very small and the cervix feels like the tip of your nose and you will be able to feel your cervix easier as it is not as high in the vaginal canal. The way that you can check your cervix is to squat down and place your finger in your vagina as if it were a tampon when you feel a round circle with a dimple then you've just found your cervix. If you are pregnant then your cervix should be soft. Also I believe it changes from a normally pinkish color to a purple hued color. To actually see your cervix you should lay down on a bed with a mirror and use your fingers to spread you vagina apart and try to relax and not push at all. (This will close the vaginal walls.) If you can't see your cervix, then the next time you have an appointment tell the doctor that you would like to see your cervix. When they do the pap test they can show you your cervix with a mirror since they have the vagina open with that plastic contraption that they use.

the cervix is the dividing tissue between the vagina and the womb. since is it that deep inside of you i would think that a self exam would be very difficult.

well they say b4 your period its low and hard. if ur pregnant, it will rise up and become soft... when this happens exactly idk.
if u have to go past ur knuckels to touch it its high, when u dont its low.. ne thing else is like medium.
im goin through the same thing. but my cervix is crazy one min its high, the next its low..
