Assuming that you wash what you buy before you wear it, it is no more gross than staying in a hotel. Tell her that! Also when you buy used clothing you get to see that it is properly washed, but who knows when the blankets in a hotel were last washed.

As for quality, you are correct, it it looks good to you and others, why would you want to pay full price. I think you are smart.

I think they are cool, you get alot of the stuff you see in these expensive stores for less than half the price and you look good in the process, as long as you wash the stuff you get before you wear it it's cool. The only thing I think I can speak for everyone on when I say this is "I would NEVER EVER buy underwear from a thrift store." No matter how much you wash them someone else's private parts have been in them.

I love, love, love thrift stores, I don't really think it's gross, just wash the clothes before u wear them. I have some of my biggest name brands from Goodwill and salvation army! Examples:

$150 Banana Republic dress for $7 at Goodwill (with tags!!!!)

$250 PRADA shoes for $1 at salvation army

Plus they have cool vintage stuff and brand names that are no longer made.

um,depends. My sister's friend found vintage pucci shirt at a thrift store. So i went there if there are any goodies but no. So it's like a jackpot. I think vintage stores are also good idea, some vintage clothing stores are expensive but there is also cheap ones, if you live in the city , there is more opportunity to find vintage clothes.

They're fine. I don't shop there alot but you can find some good deals on lightly used clothing. Also good for Halloween costums.

Just make sure you wash the clothes before you wear them.

there are other things more important than having a brand new "branded" clothes.
thrift stores are very practical and as well reliable.
clothes are all the same, you'll gonna wear them and they will all wear out.
there is nothing bad on loving thrift stores. and its good to be thrifty!!

THRIFT STORES ARE PRETTY COOL. YOU GET MORE VARIETY FOR A REASONABLE PRICE. SOMETIMES NEW OR BARELY WORN ITEMS ARE FOUND. ODD ITEMS OR NOVELTY ITEMS ARE ALSO FOUND. IT'S ALL HOW YOU MIX AND ACCESSORIZE YOUR WARDROPE.
