Star Trek - there seems to be less race issues (between humans especially), there seems to be a lack of poverty (at least they never discuss it on earth, everyone always seems to be able to get what they need/want), and faster travel :-)

Do you mean Bladerunner, the Alan Nourse book, or the Ridley Scott movie based on Philip K Dick's 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?' Doesn't matter! Either way, the answer would have to be Star Trek, cause it's a much brighter vision of the future than either of the possibilities for Bladerunner. And, because I've always wanted to--as Julie Ecklar said--sail the stars.

Star Trek (more than 5 version to choose from and look how many movies)
In particular
Deep Space 9

because In its last season Ezri Dax (a new character) while learn to be herself was never attacked for this. (Not so in the real world....) Here, people let people be people. I like that. This is there, subtlety, in all the star trek's that Ive seen with the possible exception of those involving capt. kirk. Kinda let them be free to choose who they wanna be. And the attempt is to fight those that wanna control others... ...This mentality may be a long time getting to the real world, I'm afraid.

BTW it is the Ezri Dax character not the actress, Nicole de Boer (unless she were to stay in that role all the time), cause I didn't care that much about her role in the movie CUBE - and I don't Watch dead zone... and others...

Star Trek because it seems they have worked out all the basic social problems of the 20th and 21st centuries. I'd rather spend my time exploring new worlds then fighting old wars.

Star Trek. No money to use, plenty of space travel, and some very cute senior officers.
