The first few years they take standard engineering classes including the calculus and other math classes. After a few semesters of that they will take classes on things like transistors and circuits. This varies greatly however.
It’s a good idea to look up the colleges you are looking at or the college catalog for where you are at. The catalog with have this information.
The best source of information on Electrical engineering comes form IEEE.

yup, lots of design classes involving circuits. it's known to be the hardest engineering out there, right after computer system engineering.
