You almost need to have a connection with a group in another country. Is there someone at your school or church that is from a country that interests you? Perhaps they can link you with another school or church.

How long do you want to go for? A week? A month? A year?

A good place to start may be Rotary. They sponsor student exchanges. While they do this on an individual basis, it is possible that they can give you a connection that you need.

You may also contact churches. While a small church may not have information, you could get some info from larger churches or the head of that particular religion in your area.

A teacher at my school did this. She happens to be Mexican and knew someone from her home town and arranged the exchange through them.

It is important to have contact with the group, sharing letters and photos so that your group will have an understanding of the culture before they go and so that the incoming group can get to know you as well.

Hope this helps.
