I attended two undergraduate schools. I received 71 credits from my first school and 39 credits from my other school. I simply want to know which GPA I should include on my resume. Can I combine the GPA's together? Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide me with.

One of my employment prospects requires your GPA on your resume.

I wouldn't put GPA on a resume, that's obnoxious. I WOULD include any honors or accolades I earned BECAUSE of my GPA, like Phi Theta Kappa or President's List. IMO

Why would you put GPA on a resume? Resume is about JOB experience not what you did in school. Yes, you should include that you graduated, attended college, w/e degree you received etc. But do not go into detail about what classes, how many credits, or your GPA. They only care about your WORK history and school that will benefit you in the WORK force.

I listed the schools seperately w/ the GPA from each next to it's name. I held a 3.865 while doing 20 - 25 units a semester in Gen Ed, biz, CompSci & electronics while working. I felt that was worthy of being on my resume. & I was told that it was impresive enough to get me interviews, even when they had better qual'd candidates.
Is your impressive? If it's not, leave it off. If it is, display it proudly!
It also depends on other experience & how you organize your resume. I would presume that you are just getting out of school, or you wouldn't be just putting your resume together, you'd be modifying one you already have. You want to let them know that your last fulltime effort went well. Your last 'job' was as student.
If you list schools seperately (maybe you got different degrees at diff schools) list GPA seperatly.

It is not necessary to put a GPA on your resume. If you have a wonderful GPA than add it it can not hurt, but it would be better to list academic achievements, organizations, and community service. If you still feel you need to add your GPA combine them, because that is your overall assessment.

If they're asking for a GPA, unless they tell you that they only want the GPA for your classes in your major, average the two.

GPA does matter for some companies. The rule of thumb is anything more than a 3.0 put it on there. Don't put anything less than a 3.0.

unless you got a 4.0 I don't think they care what your GPA is. Unless it is really impressive I wouldn't even put GPA on your resume.

I would not include the GPA. To be honest, nobody cares.

Any reasonable method of calculating your GPA is acceptable, provided it is reasonable and your methodology is explained to potential readers (e.g. recruiters, HR staff, hiring managers).
