I am currently in college pursuing my Associate in Nursing. After I graduate I want to go farther. I know i'll have to get my batchlors degree in nursing too. But I want to be like a doctor or something I'm not sure yet. I'm thinking chiropractor or family practice. I did want to be a ob/gyn but I really don't want to have to get up in the middle of the night. I also find nurse anethesia interesting. Can you help, I'm just looking for some ideas. Thank you for your time and ideas.

As you go through your clinical training rotations, keep your eyes open and see who enjoys their job. Do you like doing the same thing every day or do you need variety? Are you a people person or do you have trouble tolerating others? It is obvious that you like helping others so you already know that.

Go to your career center at your school and take some apptitude tests as they will help you sort things out.
Good luck.

You may want to look into becoming a nurse practitioner or a physician's assistant.

See the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Web site at http://www.aanp.org/default.asp.

See the American Academy of Physician Assistants at http://www.aapa.org/.
