I agree with you. The only problem is who do we vote for. Brown who has with Blair behaved like school kids in a playground brawl. A man who wants to get out of No 11 before we find out what a mess he has really made. Dave "the hood" Cameron a smile with nothing behind. A man with no experience of life like Blair. A man who will listen to his left wing teeny groupies ( his team ). He and Osbourne remind me of a couple of posh public school boys let out to play for a day. He is not man enough to lead us. So yes lets have an election but someone in politics land shine so we can vote for you.

I get your point, but that's not really the case.
In theory, the public voted the Labour Party into office - the leader being Tony Blair who was elected by the rest of his party. We're not supposed to vote for personalities, unlike in the US where they vote for a president.
But, all of that is in theory - in reality you are absolutely right.

That's the problem with parliamentary, representative democracy. We get to vote in the party, the members of parliament get to choose the leaders who can ruin our lives, as Phoney Tony seems determined to do, and Gordon would certainly try to do.

Unfortunately (And for once I wholeheartedly agree) the public is too stupid to be allowed to make some decisions.
