antibiotic ointment , do not fry it, ( try to dry it out )or it will scab up.

Try using some calming face creams....it will tell you right on the bottle if that's what it's for. Also, my family has an old' secret to this to make it feel better and heal better and quicker....take a potato and wash it good, then cut it so that the pieces are pretty round, then place the pieces of potato on your face and let them sit for like 10-15 minutes...if you leave it on longer it won't hurt your skin any, it's actually good for it. Or try cucumbers, those are good for your skin too. Whatever one you pick isn't going to hurt your skin any, but it does really work. Good luck.

Skin on what part of your body?
Honey moisturizes and is antibacterial. Royal Bee Pollen (gel) is very calming also. These are also safe on the face.

How long to recover?
I doubt if it'll repair overnight but don't rush it or try anything to harsh, That's your face (skin) for life so you don't want to permanently damage it.

sounds like you may have used to much zit cream or gotten sunburned. the best thing to do is try mixing a little antibiotic cream in with a good moisturizer (unscented) and slathering it on. don't pick and your face will start to improve soon.
