I think it would be trying to play God and you shouldn't do that!

No. Definitely not. The sex of a baby is determined by the sperm cells of a man. Women have eggs that only carry the X chromosome which is female. However men carry X & Y chromosomes (female and male) so it all depends on which sperm carrying which chromosome reaches the egg and fertilized it. There is no way to choose the sex.

No I do not believe you can choose the sex of the baby. You and your partner have no way of manually producing each sperm.. and each sperm has a genetic make up that may or may not have an x chromosome. Even if you could insure that most of his sperm have one or the other.. you have no way of making sure that specific sperm reaches and fertilizes an egg. Its really hard for those little swimmers to even reach the egg in the first place, its a miracle that any of them ever fertilize the egg.

Only God knows the sex of your baby!! They say if you have sex 4-5 days before ovulation you can conceive a girl and if you have it 1-2 days or on the day of ovulation you can have a boy!! I think that it's whatever God gives you!! It shouldn't matter as long as the baby's healthy!

it is true that you have a larger chance of getting that gender of the baby, if you follow the books advice of how to get a boy or girl, but it still is not guaranteed. even when they implant the sperm in the egg, they cannot be 100% positive of the gender, when they try for a boy or girl.

Well, I've heard that the male sperm swim slower and die off faster than the female sperm. I'm not sure if that is true or not. I believe what happens, happens! I'm having a boy :)

You can increase the probablilities, but not actually "pick" a boy or a girl. Most productive way I know of is timing compared with ovulation.

I think if you cared enough about which sex your baby it'd be really nice having a say in the matter.

I think you can speak things over your life, its amazing what our words do.

Theres not any hard science though.

I wanted a boy and I said i'd have a boy first. Turns out we're having a boy.

I don't think there is anything you can do to pick the sex of your baby, but I think they can medically.
