Have been looking for PBX Operator work but very few around
where i live. Have been thinking of maybe opening my own
answering service exchange from my home. What would be
the process i would have to go through. (license, etc. etc.) Does
anyone have any info on this. Thanks for your help.

Go to http://www.score.org/ and find the nearest SCORE chapter. Contact them and make an appointment with a SCORE counselor.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization. They provide a public service to America by offering small business advice and training. .

SCORE's 10,500 volunteers have more than 600 business skills. Volunteers share their wisdom and lessons learned in business. Their volunteers are working/retired business owners, executives and corporate leaders.

I really don't think that this is a good business idea, given the fact that most people and companies already have voicemail and telephone answering machines.
