I have had many signs of being preg..although I am on birth control pills and take them everyday religiously....i took an early detection preg test and at first there was hardly no line...i had to tilt the test a certain way to every see anything...i thought it was wishful thinking that the test might be positive...besides i am on the pill then after i put my son down for a nap...about 20 minutes later there was def two lines....one was def much lighter but there are two lines indicating i am preg....but the test says not to read results after 10 minutes....so am or not...i thought maybe since i was taking it early there wasn't that much hormone to read the test early and the longer it sat the darker the line...had this happened to anyone else and where you preg?? please help....

hi this happened to me I tested negative for the first week I was late and then I saw a really faint line the next week it turned out I was pregnant I did read the test in the 2 minutes your meant to . certain pregnancy test have evaporation lines which appear after some time it could be this the only way to make sure is to test again no contraception is 100% so there is a chance I would test again in the morning and carry the test with you and make sure you read it at the right time if there is still a faint line then you are pregnant. good luck

I think that you are pregnant. With my test, it was VERY light at first, then it got a little darker and I was indeed pregnant. If there is no hormone present there is NO way a line can show up at all. So even if it is a very light line, there might just be a small amount of the pregnancy hormone in your body at this time since it is still early.

The test could be reading positive because of the length of time, or from the hormones in your birth control pills. You are probably not pregnant, but if you have reason to believe you might be, you should go to the doctor for the test. If you are pregnant, you will need to stop taking the birth control pills.

Take another test in a couple days and take it when you first wake up. Make sure to read the test in the time it says. Like if it says read between 3 and 10 minutes don't read it before 3 minutes or after 10.

Its probably because you dont have a whole lot of pregnancy hormone in your body. It sounds like you are because there were two lines regardless. You should go and get a blood test done. Even if you were taking the pill religiously there are people who get pregnant anywayz. Its just ment to be. Good luck and I hope that it works well for you.

I had taken a test about a week a go and one line was lighter than the other. So I went to the dr's and had a blood test done and sure enough I am so I'm thinking you should do the same just be sure.

if there's even a faint line, chances are..you're preggy! if you think you are, stop taking the pills and call your doctor! and definetely don't go by the results if the test has been sitting for more than 10 minutes. i took a cheap test and i wasn't sure of the results...i took 5 before i believed it lol! good luck!

Read the directions. There is a limited time to see the results. You can not trust the results after that time has expired. Take another test or go to the doc.

Maybe take another in a couple of days but sometimes the hormones in the pill can confuse the results.

the second line was probably an evaporation line, once the urine passes over the test strip (where the line would show up if you were pregnant) it starts to evaporate this leaves a line shaped discoloration, but if you were pregnant the line would be pink , even if it were faint.
