She started Kindergarten in 2005 and now in 2006 is in 1st grade. She trys and almost everyday breaks down in tears over doing her homework any tips from parents who deal with a child with homework stress?

P.S. It is hard to quit and go back later with cheerleading practice 3 times a week and a game on Saturdays.) Thanks. :-)

maybe she has a learning disability that makes her frustrated with the work. have you evaluated. once you know if she has an LD, you can learn how to help her.

What kind of homework is a 1st grader getting that stresses her out? Sheesh.
