What i am looking to do is have a siloette of a person walking along (left - right) and then pausing for a moment and then walking again. I imagine the trciky part is getting a realistic walking motion. (done with macromendia flash)

I did a Google search for Flash Tutorial. I would say try a few of the sites to get an idea of how to use Flash. It's not very hard to figure out what you want, but it would take a long time to answer it here.

if you are in flash program, click HELP then FLASH DEVELOPER CENTER and it will bring you to some cool tutorials! some are even videos.
