Do you feel you're in a never ending cycle of kids, cleaning, cooking,? Don't get me wrong-I love it-but feel bored sometimes.

TOTALLY!! Don't get me wrong either. I love being home with my kidlets. But I also tend my nephew who will be 2 next week. My daughter was 2 in June. It's like having twins. Only they fight constantly. I am always asking my husband why i just spent the whole day cleaning my house when all their (he and my kids) gonna do is mess it up as soon as they walk in the door. It's frustrating. I have learned to not be so fussy with how clean the house is and enjoy my kids. There's always another day to clean and if my hubby complains about what a mess is, I tell him he can stay home and cook and clean and take care of kids and I'll go to work for him instead. He's a firefighter. He wouldn't trade his job for the world.

Try getting out of the house every once in a while. Set aside some you time. Tell your hubby he has to keep the kids for a little while, and go out with friends or whatever you want to do. You need that time to keep you sane!! Even if it is just locking yourself in the bathroom for a good hot bath. If you cna have a little time to yourself, it makes the repetative stuff a lot easier to bear. At one point I had a part time job a coule days a week, just to get me out of the house. The adult interaction was a good change form talking to two year olds all day long. I miss my job sometimes, but the schedule just doesn't fit anymore.

I'm with ya girl!! Hang in there!!!! It's totally worth staying home.

It's difficult for me sometimes too because my husband is also in Iraq for the past 9 months now and it gets so lonely like the clock slows to a halt and the infinite tickings drive me insane. Some people say to get a hobby or keep busy...and sad thing is I am so busy with 2 kids and a part-time job, but it's times like right now between kids comming home from school, baby is asleep and work is done I miss him so much. He's almost home though. I can't wait. Sorry for the ramble.

Amen, sister! I've only been "at home" for a little over 6 months (my job was eliminated) and, like you, I do love it, but I get so tired of cooking, cleaning, making beds, running errands, etc etc I could SCREAM some days!!

.....especially now that the kids are back in school. It's just so darn quiet around here. It does get very lonely some days.

so no, it's not just you....

Were you just reading my mind?

I'm a stay home mom too, my daughter is wonderful, my husband also, but there are some days I just wish I had somewhere to go, someone to see, or even someone I could just talk to! We're expecting again, and this pregnancy is complicated, so it makes things worse when I'm not even supposed to be out of bed. Bored doesn't even cover what's going on here!! lol!

I sure did when my kids were little and I was home with them in the sticks. I joined some playgroups at the library and church and met other moms with kids. 20+ years later I am still friends with some of them.

Me too...tell me about it. I try hooking up with other mum close by but they don't seem to keep to their words so I have given up. So I hang around and do whatever at home.
