Nag Champa & Super Hit. Another favorite is Rain Musk by Airs. I also like to use Captain Black Gold tobacco as incense on the self igniting charcoals They are useful for many things, like freshing up the house or car, ritual use in sending prayers or spells to the gods or ancestors, representing the air element on a wiccan altar, an integral part of the wiccan purification of "salt water & Incense." Setting a mood or tone for a sensusal sexual encounter with your significant other. Covering up the smell of "wakky tabakky" if you are into that sort of thing* I am sure there are other uses, but in my long history of burning incense...these are the ones that come to mind. All incense can be used for purification. Burning sage, however, releases a toxin known as "thujone" into the air and has been known to cause nightmares. Thujone is an active constituant in Wormwood Artemesia ... or the herb they use to make absinthe, It is present in sage, from kitchen sage to lakota white sage in much smaller doses but still enough to have an effect when burned...
If you are interested in the healing properties of aroma therapy, essential oils are your best bet...you can learn more about the magical & medicinal properties of herbs & oils here http://databar.com/hemispheres/herbalism.html

* I am in no way advocating the use of illegal drugs

I love Spirit Guide, Sairam, Megha Mala, Supriya and Super Hit. I just like the way they smell. I use them for scent only.

I love wearing Nag Champa oil. I prefer it in this form. I have to admit there is one other possible use for this - it gives my officemate a headache! I know that's horrible, but her stinky lunch makes me nauseous. Sometimes I think it's a fair trade....

pathouli - smells great and draws money to you
amber - also smells great and aids in psychic development
sandlewood - my first fav. helps in psychic development
frankincense - dont like the stick. I use a small piece of resin on a charcohal block. It smells the whole house all day. Good for cleansing and purification.

I also make my own incense with various herbs.

In stick form I enjoy Spiritual Guide for meditation.
I like Lemongrass for healing.
Lyric for joy.
Lavender for peace.
These are a few of my favorites in stick form. I tend to use herbs and resins on charcoal for most things.
