I would opt for telepathy, being able to deliver an entire concept in an instant to another person without the hinderance of words - but a picture would be a close second until we figure out the telepathy thing.
p.s. I don't know about words; but the right (or wrong) picture could be worth some bucks depending on who the dirt was on.

Accually I think the picture is worth more due to digital photography, and the words are worth less due to poor usage and internet abbreviations. I would say the picture is worth around 1250 words.
