Find someone else, try to avoid that person or at least being alone with that person.

Hey girl, I'd love to help you and offer advice..but I'm in the same situation. I don't know FOR sure if he is married though..there is a language barrier which complicates things even worse for me. He is just so charming and the connection is insane. I'm trying my hardest to get over him, but it's very hard. I have decided that to treat him as he is married and when he flirts I don't flirt back. I suggest removing yourself from the situation where you have to be around/with him. I know it's really hard but try to move past and on. Maybe hang out with your friends more, go out and meet new guys. Do anything to get your mind off of him by focusing on other things. I'm sorry you are going through this, I know the pain all too well. God bless you and best wishes! :)

You cannot change your feelings, although they may change over time.

However, you have absolute control over your behavior, which should be impeccable. You must never let the other person know that you are anything more than a friend.

If you truly love this person, then you want him to be happy, even if that hurts you. That is what love is, when the happiness of another person is as or more important than our own. That person's happiness is best supported by a strong marriage. Therefore it is incumbent upon you to support his marriage and do nothing that might endanger it.

If you cannot do this, if you think you might come between him and his wife, you must avoid him.

I don't think you should be concerned with not liking the person. There is obviously something about the person that draws you to liking him/her. You have to learn self control and tell yourself that this person is married and there is nothing going to happen between you two. Even if this married person were to approach you in a sexual context, lets say, you should learn enough self control to turn him/her down out of respect for yourself and his wife and kids. Being the "other woman/man" is never a good thing.

Your question suggests that there is really nothing you can do, and that you are a helpless leaf blown before the winds of your emotions ("How can I stop liking him?").

Easy answer: no way to STOP liking someone. Go ahead, like him all you please.

What you NEED to know is how to put some much-needed distance between you and a tragedy.

Another easy answer: keep the f-ck AWAY from him; it's simple to do, and will save you more trouble than you can imagine.

To stop liking him, think about the following?

1. Burning in Hell.
2. Being the cause of a man who swore to honor, love and cherish his wife to break his vows to her.
3. Being with a man who cares nothing about his word. If he would go for you over his wife, guess what? He would eventually go for another woman over you. You'd never be able to trust a man who cheated on his own wife.
4. Being the cause of a deep and everlasting hurt in a humans life. I would hate to know that I deeply hurt another person.
5. Being the target of hate if his wife or wife's friends are violent.
6. Having people talk about you behind your back about you being a home wrecker.
7. If there are any children involved, how would you like to be the cause of children losing their father.
8. Having the possibility of a law suit against you for alienation of affection.
9. Did I mention the burning in hell part?

Just be wise, there are plenty of good men out their who would honor you instead of cheating on his wife to be with you.

Don't focus on those feelings. It's natural to get crushes on different people over the years. If it becomes too much, then distance yourself.

You can't help who you fall in love with, but it sounds like they are not yours to love, so my advice: stay as far away from them as possible. If that doesn't work, let them make the first move.

quit talking to this person all together. Start dating other people. After awhile you will stop having feelings for this person and it will be for the best.
