I always look on the web for the photo of the plant, I try also to search the latin name of it in order to be sure to make the good translation. In this case Kasni is "chichorium intibus" a plant of about a meter high that is used as food (leaves) and medicine
(seeds & roots) both used in ayurveda medicine & also islamic as I could see during my research. It is also well used in Europe where they cultivate many varieties.
in Spanish it is ACHICORIA

if it fits to it. In English it is chicory.
If the latin name starts by prunus.....then you must look for cherry
