Because they're trying to get some points... This question is boxed but pick it so I could get my 10 points.

First of all, you lose points for putting up questions - you only gain points for answering them. So all the people who post stupid questions, not only are they stupid, but they are losing points.
Now, I do agree that people sometimes write stupid answers just to be funny and to get the 2 points. But lets face it - do the points really mean anything? (course I've reached level 3, so I must care about the points, so I'm just as bad!)

Hmmmm, must be going around with you too---you don't get points for questions, stupid or not--you LOSE points.
So, good luck with that. I suggest less PC time and more reading a book time.

OK. Why don't you start us all off with a sensible question? Just to set an example?

You don't get points for asking a question. You LOSE points. So your theory doesn't make sense.

It's not any stupider than using (?) instead of spelling the actual word over and over and over.
Stop complaining, remember you could be working or worse reading someones blog!
