...where is it and what is that place? I've been trying to rack my brain but I can't remember anything about it? I've read all of the Harry Potter books and I can't remember where else was Godric's Hollow mentioned. Thanks in advance!!

Godric's Hollow is a Muggle village (we know it was a Muggle village because it has been stated that Hogsmeade is the only all-wizarding village in Britain) where Lily and James Potter were hiding from Voldemort in October of 1981. We know very little about it. We do know that they lived in a cottage there which was destroyed when Voldemort attacked them, and that their graves are in the area (HBP30). Some have suggested that the name of the village comes from Godric Gryffindor, one of the founders of Hogwarts and the founder of Gryffindor House, to which Lily and James belonged.

Godric's Hollow was mentioned by Professor McGonnagall to Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: "What they're saying," she pressed on, "is that last night Voldemort turned up in Godric's Hollow. He went to find the Potters. The rumor is that Lily and James Potter are -- are -- that they're -- dead. "

Godric's Hollow was the final hiding place of James and Lily Potter prior to being murdered by Lord Voldemort on October 31, 1981. It was at this same time that Harry Potter was left with his lightning-bolt-shaped scar.

Some readers speculate that Godric's Hollow may have been the home of James Potter's family, and/or the home of long-dead Hogwarts founder Godric Gryffindor. There is also speculation that one of Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes could be at Godric's Hollow. However, seeing as the village of Hogsmeade (near to Hogwarts) is ascertained in the Harry Potter books as being the only remaining town in Britain with a population completely made up of wizarding folk, it naturally follows that there must be some Muggle inhabitants of Godric's Hollow. At the end of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter says he will revisit the village and his parents' graves.

I think it will turn out that: Harry is voldemort's Horcrux. It will be logical then for Harry to sacrifice himself. The last battle between harry and voldemort will be held at hogwarts. Snape will come out clean in the end and it will be that Dumbledore and Snape Staged the death of Dumbledore. RAB is Regulus ______ Black. The Locket has been mentioned in the fifth book as the "a locket which none of them could open". It has been destroyed by Black. The sixth Horcruex is Nagini(Voldemort's pet snake) Draco Malfoy will die in seveth potter issue(or change sides.) The weasley twins will appear as Death Eaters in the Last Battle. Voldmort's child will be reveled in this book named Orrin who will help Harry in the hunt of the horcruxes.

Contrary to the previous answerer, Godric's Hollow is the VILLAGE where Harry and his parents lived. Not his home.It was Harry's and his parents' last hiding place.

The place where Harry's parents lived, and were killed.
It was mentioned in book 1 I think.

And he's going to return there, cos Voldemort probably dropped a Horcrux there, when he almost died.
