I have a file that is in excel named phone.xls and i need to convert it to a visual foxpro table named phone.dbf
can someone give me the code to do so?

Export (Save As) your Excel doc as a DBF.

Since Visual Foxpro was discontinued from microsoft, chances are good that you can get a very cheap licensed copy at auction sites like ebay and may be even some software retailers that specialized in software bargains. Free download would be illegal and you should quickly forget about that one, but you might want to use a free classified service and ask for somebody who is willing to give you his license for free or almost for free, because he does not need it anymore.

did you get a free copy of foxpro with your pentium 2 computer?

What would be the point of moving the data?

excel will do 99% of what you need

Hai,

go to foxpro
import from phone.xls type xls

this will give u phone.dbf
