Everybody, Darling?

It's In Everyone,
Once You Have Something You Want More,
It's Like Having a Car That Goes From 0 To 60 In 6 Seconds ,
You Then Want A Car That Does 0 To 60 In 4 Seconds.

I don't think it's so much that everyone's greedy, just that we are all hard-wired to think first of our own provision. Unfortunately, it is the ones who have much that never seem to get enough, or the ones who have been told that they ought to have more than they do. To some extent, free enterprise is responsible for this mentality--not capitalism, which is just a communist catchword-- as it's hard to sell your whatever if nobody else thinks they need it, and if you don't, then you can't afford to buy anybody else's. I think lots of us are happy with what we do have, but it seems the ones who make the most impression on the world are the grasping type. I guess cause they leave no stone unturned. I know lots of people who quite appreciate the little they do have, and are happy with their lives, but our society does not particularly admire restraint or self-denial, so you can hardly blame the greedy ones for their handicap. I don't say it's society's fault, but the trend doesn't make it any easier for them to do without.

Many people are very shallow and want for the sake of wanting because someone else has it. Greedy people cannot be happy, contentment is not achieved by having material things but by having an inner serenity.

Because in this consumer society you are all brainwashed to be so by the marketing companies who work on behalf of the wealthy to make them wealthier, you less so, and thus greedy for more.

Turn a "desire" into a "need" and there you have it.
Easy innit?

there is no clear definition of greediness, not all people are greedy, greedy could be some one who looks out for profits only for themseves..but not everyone is like that. normal people take things that are essential to thme and for use. while greedy would take everything eventhough they have no use for it. being selfish is part of human nature but not greed.
