Why? Any idea why you do it?

I have flex schedule, but I seem to only get there "on time" for mtgs, etc. I think maybe it's an authority issue thing. :-)

Lol, in my defense I should add that my job is outcome focused, and my tardiness does not affect my collegues! It just me I skip lunch or stay late, work week ends if its a rush project.

I come in late a lot. Traffic is really bad here. I leave the same time every morning. Some times I get here on time or even early. Some times I get her late. I can't leave earlier because I drop my daughter off at daycare. My boss doesn't mind as long as I call him and let him know how far I am.

I completely agree with RuneAmok. I'm late almost every day, usually by 10-25 minutes. I guess it's because I'm lazy, and hate getting out of bed in the morning. Every so often I'll come in on time or even early, but that never lasts more than a week or so. By the way, I'm bi.

For Five and one half years I worked with a young Lady who was late everyday 1/2 hour to two hours. I really resented it, taking calls for her, dealing with her clients and making excuses for her.
I can understand being late sometimes, not everyday! I truly feel if you can't make it to work on time everyday, maybe you need to stay home and get your life in order.

I am not trying to be mean, I just feel it is unfair to your fellow employee's, whom have their own jobs. Now they have to stop what they are doing and try to figure out where you left off on a clients matter, did you make that phone call you promised, and where did you put something and the list goes on........

I don't have any idea why she was always late, she always had one excuse or another. Maybe you could shed some lite, why are you almost always late?

I'm 2 - 5 minutes late a few times a week. Why? Because I hate getting up early and I don't look forward to going to my job :(

Oh I am. Good lord! They already know if I am not in by my time, it will be within 10 minutes! I think if I ever came in a week on time I would get an award!

I have never been good about getting some place every day at the same time! I'll be there when I get there, if you don't like it just fire me! Life is too short for this crap anyway! See ya!

I'm NEVER late, it shows disrespect for your boss and your co-workers who have to cover your area until you show up . Everywhere I have worked if you were late more than 3 times in a 3 month period you were FIRED.

I am always a half an hour early everday! There is an incentive at work for me if I am never late! If I have a flat tire, there should be no excuse.

Me!

Why ..... it's just become a bad habit. I make an effort now and then, but it usually fizzles.

Quite honestly, until someone calls me on it, I'll probably keep doing it.

Partly because I just don't care.
