I recently purchased a Spa, but about 2 weeks after we purchased it the water started burning our eyes. Not a cloreen burn (I was on the city and High school swimming team I know that burn) but like someone sprayed pepper spray in your eyes. We drained it and refilled it once and the same thing happend about 2 weeks latter.
I have checked my chemicals and they are all in the normal range. I took a water sample to the store and they couldnt see anything wrong with the cemical ballance either. ANY IDEAS?

too much chlorine or the water is too hot? maybe the brand of chemicals you are using is one you are allergic to? are you wearing your contacts while in the spa? maybe you are just sensitive with your contacts still in? maybe you aren't letting your chemicals percolate long enough after treating before getting in?

I immediately thought "chlorine" but you seem to have that covered...it could be an allergy, either to the chems you are using or a chlorine allergy that has developed late in life (it happens)...but if you ALL are experiencing it...I don't know.

Try calling the company you bought the spa from and see if they have any suggestions.

Maybe it's some kind of coating that was put on the spa before you purchased it?

Someone is probably putting something in there when no one is looking.

Be careful!
