If you were really low, it may just need a little more coolant. What happens is that air can get behind your thermostat when you run it low. Then you refill when the thermostat is closed. When you run it again, all the air that was hiding behind the t-stat goes into the radiator.
If it continues emptying out fast without any puddles forming under the car, you likely have a blown headgasket. The water is escaping into the engine and leaving with the exhaust. Your exhaust should look pretty steamy. Take it to a mechanic, and expect to pay dearly... out the ***.
Also, it might be leaking into your oil. Drain the oil IMMEDIATELY. If it's the same color as coffee with creamer, don't run the engine until you get a mechanic to look at it. And expect to pay dearly... out the ***.

could be a hole in your radiator or in the hose. best way to check is to watch where the fluid hits the ground. generally if it's up near the front of the car it's in your radiator. if it's closer to the resevoir it'll probably be your hose. or you could just take it to a mechanic.
there is now a liquid on the market that you pour directly into your radiator that is supposed to plug the holes. it costs about $10 for a liter. i have a hole in mine and plan to use it just haven't gotten to it yet. :)

Assume there are no holes in the radiator. It could be a cracked head or a bad head gasket. If your car has allot of condensate coming out of the tail pipe, you need to see a mechanic and have it pressure tested.

dude, if your putting it in the reservoir and it is going down it is likely going into the radiator.the radiator holds more than the reservoir and so it may take several times to fill the radiator.but it did have to go somewhere.look at the oil.if it is white looking you probly blew a head gaskett or cracked a head.if it is leaking externally it should be easy to spot one you get it full.

I had this happen once and it was bout a year ago and I found out I had a cracked head. So, I do agree you do have a leak but you need to check your block to make sure your head is not cracked.

if there is a boat load of coolant on the groud, then i would say its a hose. but if no coolant is on the ground, then i would say your engine is burning it. which is probably a head gasket. i hope for your sake, its on the ground.
hope it helps, good luck.

You have a leak. I could be at a connection, a hose or your radiator could have a hole. Some holes are to small to be seen

sounds to me like there is a busted hose somewhere, or maybe a detached hose if its leaking out that fast.Radiator shouldnt have a hole that big to were it leaks out that fast unless you have hit something... I would check all of your hoses.
