Then consider yourself lucky.My sisters and I were being harrassed by a disgusting old man in a car last week when we were outside washing the car.He kept circling the house ,pulling up in front of the driveway and trying to get us to come over to the car.We called the cops.One cop showed up an hour later and acted like he was doing us a big favor that he was taking our statement. The guy was back again the next day.

Yeah, much better to have a single patrolman arrive and try to cover all possible egress from the house in question. That way if the gun toting bad guy breaks into your house hoping to hide out you'll feel so much better that the police didn't waste you tax dollars on sending over whelming force to apprehend some idiot with a gun. They better send at least 2 units to my street if someone with a gun breaks into a house.
Also, think back...would 20 cruisers actually fit on your block?

A firearm can cause damage more than other weapons. The massive response is to make sure that the culprit is contained in a small enclosed area as much as possible. The response is to make sure that he does not escape (some gets lucky) where he could do more damage, especially to the unaware public.

I think you are over thinking the situation but, if 20 cop cars did roll up and down your block then the guy is more then likely dangerous with that gun of his.

You probably live in some small town that gets no action. So when something goes down, all the cops and their mothers are there for the entertainment.

Thats good mayor you got in yer hood,keeping law and order is most important.Got to keep folks safe from them who will steal from poor folks and old folks.20 aint long enough.

Appearantly something else happened besides robbery. I would check into it. Ask around the neighborhood to see what others have heard/seen.

Maybe b/c u live in a nice well rounded neighbor hood. b/c u know damn well if you lived in the ghetto or hood they would take 2 hours and only send one police man

hell atleast they came. here, we called on a domestic dispute and two hours later only one cop came just to say that he wants some peace in the neighborhood and he left. *sigh* pitiful here.
