I don't see why not.

I'm having my first and I'm pretty thin. I felt all sort of little flutters and twinges around 13-14 weeks but I felt the first "definite" movement at 16 weeks. But the Dr says I was probably feeling it sooner, just didn't realise what it was.

Apparently is is unusual to feel your first baby so early but its not impossible, some of us are just "lucky"!!! It depends on how slim you are, the posiiton of your baby, the position of the placenta, the size of your baby (some grow quicker than others) how active they are (some are more active than others) etc.

It was a definite churning, squirming feeling I felt. Kept me awake at night at first!

Don't listen to people saying "ooh its not possible" - for one thing there is NO blueprint for pregnancy, everyone is different and just because one woman didn't feel hers until 23 weeks or so doesn't mean you will be the same - for one thing she might be overweight or her baby might have been in a funny position, or she might just not have realised what the feelings were. We all have different bodies and we all react differently to pregnancy.

I imagine it is your baby that you can feel! Amazing feeling isn't it???

I felt my first baby when i was 13 weeks also it felt like a little butterfly opening and closing its wings for a couple of seconds. Some people say that if you are having a boy you would feel it a lot sooner than you would a girl and yes mine was a boy and felt him for the first time when i was 13 weeks. Hey maybe you are having a boy!!!! How exciting you are feeling him move isn't it awesome, anyway Good luck and congratulations:)

At the end of the first trimester the size of your baby is too small for you to feel anything. In most cases the feeling is either wind or the relaxation of the muscles in the area.

Sorry I know pregancy is a special time and we want to feel that the baby is there but be patient, the time will come you wish it would just lie still and le you sleep. My wife carried twins so when she didn't sleep neither did I. Didn't stop me from talking to the bump !!

It may be the baby or it may just be gas. It's hard to tell really but if you wait until your about 20 weeks you'll really be sure that its the baby moving. Then enjoy it while it lasts. It's an amazing feeling!

I would say yes. I felt my first baby move from very early on in the pregnancy. I know for sure it was her, as the same feeling got stronger, in the same place, as she got a little bigger.

I would describe the original feeling as a "butterfly wing" tickle. I hope you get the same enjoyment out of your pregnancy that I had with all four of mine. Good luck.x

I wouldn't have thought so, because at 13 weeks the baby is little more than a blob.

The feeling you're getting might just be your body adjusting to being pregnant.

Sounds a bit early to me.I first felt movement at about 16 weeks. It felt like a shift in weight from one side to the other, rather than the finer movements you feel at around 20 weeks

In my second pregnancy, I had what felt like flattering butterflies around 12 weeks and continued until I felt the first proper kick which was around 18 weeks.
